Lubbesthorpe was originally a medieval hamlet and parish in the district of Blaby, within Enderby, on the outskirts of Leicester. The site, protected within extensive parkland, is now a Scheduled Ancient Monument on the west side of the M1 motorway and the River Soar.

Adjacent New Lubbesthorpe will become a 21st Century community of more than 4,000 homes with green spaces, wetlands, and woodlands looked after by the Lands Trust to maintain the environment.

With fast broadband, on-demand bus service and a primary school on-site, New Lubbesthorpe is also very close to Fosse Park, Enderby Leisure and Golf Centre, David Lloyd Health Club, and Everards Meadows. A new business village, south of the M69 will boost the local economy.
