Eligibility criteria

In order to apply for one of these homes you must be an ‘Eligible Person’.

‘Eligible Person’ means a person who is unable to secure accommodation suitable for their needs in the open housing market and who additionally satisfies one or more of the following criteria:

1. Ordinarily resident in the Relevant Area or
2. Employed or have secured employment in the Relevant Area
3. Has been resident in the Relevant Area for periods totalling at least 2 of the last 5 years or
4. Has family associations with the Relevant Area or
5. Is (or eligible to be entered) on the Homefinder Somerset Register in relation to accommodation in the Relevant Area or
6. Is qualified to move to the Relevant Area pursuant to a mobility scheme to which the Council is a participating authority

*Relevant Area means the Parish of Templecombe or the Parishes of Henstridge, Charlton Horethorne, Horsington, and Wincanton, the District and the County*
